Overview

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, situated on Jhandi Dhar hills is a splendid Himalayan destination, which gives tourists the reason to be here and explore the fascinating Himalayan peaks such as Kedarnath Peak, Shivling, Trisul and majestic Nanda Devi from ‘Zero Point’.

Binsar is basically designed for the conservation and shielding of the shrinking broad leaf oak (Quercus) forests situated in the Central Himalayan region. The sanctuary has approximately 200 bird species and species of animals such as Leopards, Ghorals, Indian Red Fox, Jackals, Porcupines, Pine Martens, etc.

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is encircled by copious chaplets of alpine flora, ferns, hanging moss, and several other types of wildflowers. The tourists get to feel that they are moving in a celestial haven.
