Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib Trek is one of the best trek routes in Uttarakhand Himalayas.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Morning Arrive at Rishikesh Drive to Joshimath 

Rishikesh Altitude: 380 Meters 

  • Morning arrives at Rishikesh.
  • Fresh n up and Breakfast at Camp Kaudiyala and Drive to the base camp.
  • Have your Lunch enrooted at Rudraprayag.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at hotel/lodge at Joshimath / Govindghat.

Day 02: Joshimath to Govindghat to Poolna to Ghangaria (30 Kms drive + 10 km trek)

Govindghat to Ghangria Altitude: 1920 Meters to 3100 Meters 

  • Early morning take breakfast and start to drive to Govindghat This place is a merging point of famous rivers Alaknanda and Laxman Ganga River.
  • Now the last motorable road up to Poolna, 4 Kms away from Govindghat.
  • Trek start Poolna to Ghangaria around 9 Kms moderate trek.
  • Ghangria is the base camp of “Valley of Flowers” and “Hemkund” trekking.
  • Overnight stay at hotel/guesthouses.

Day 03: Ghangria to Valley of Flowers to Ghangria (8 km trek)

  Ghangria to Valley of flowers Altitude: 2926 Meters to 3600 Meters 

  • Early morning 6:00 am trek start to Valley of Flowers 4 Kms one side.
  • This is a very beautiful valley and spends some memorable time in “Valley of flowers”.
  • Have your packed lunch.
  • Evening Return to the Ghangria. Stay overnight at Hotel/Lodge.

Day 04: Ghangria to Hemkund Sahib to Ghangria (12 Kms trek) 

 Ghangria to Hemkund Sahib Altitude : 2926 Meters to 4300 Meters 

  • Early morning 6:00 am trek start to Hemkund Sahib 6 Kms one side.
  • This trek starts Easy to Moderate to Difficult. Enrooted have your packed breakfast.
  • Afternoon reach at Hemkund Gurudwara Sahib. The Hemkund Sahib lake is just behind the Gurudwara. You can take a holy dip inside the Lake. Have Hot Tea, Halwa prasad, and Khichdi at Gurudwara.
  • Return back to the Ghangria. The evening arrives at Ghangria. Stay overnight at Hotel/Lodge. 

Day 05: Ghangria to Govindghat to Joshimath (9km downhill trek + 1 hr drive). 

  • After breakfast, trek back from Ghangria to Poolna and Drive to Govindghat.
  • Lunch at Govindghat and drive back to Joshimath.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel and Lodge.

Day 06: Joshimath to Rishikesh (250 km). 

  • Early in the morning drive back to Rishikesh.
  • Overnight stay at Rishikesh Camp.

Day 07: Depart from Rishikesh 

  • Morning free for your own activities.
  • After breakfast drive back to your own destination 

Tour and services end.

  • 02 Nights Basic Hotel accommodation on triple/quad sharing basis at Joshimath/ Govindghat
  • 03 Nights Basic Hotel accommodation on a triple/quad sharing basis at Ghangaria.
  • 01 Night stay at Kaudiyala Camp.

  • Drive from Govindghat to Pulna and return (Vehicle will take around Rs. 500 one way)
  • Porter/mule charges to carry your personal bag
  • Accommodation in any other location not mentioned above
  • Any meals/services, Mineral water bottle as not mentioned in inclusion
  • Hot water charges per bucket @ Rs. 50/- in Ghangaria.
  • Any Insurance.
  • Transportation to and from Rishikesh/Dehradun

  • Keep two pairs of lightweight trousers or pants, war 1 pair, and carry one pair in case of rain.
  • Two lightweight wool jumpers.

  • 3 to 4 pairs of socks.
  • Rain cover for your backpack

  • Toiletries, N.B as little as possible, Carry just the basics — toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, toilet tissue roll, moisturizer, lip balm.
  • Duffel bag or large rucksack to carry to gear while trekking. We recommend you use something strong and sturdy.
  • Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry the gear you will need while trekking. Camera, spare jacket, waterproof jacket, water bottle, pack lunch, etc.
  • Small torch with spare batteries.
  • Walking boots/trekking shoes
  • Medicines like a muscle relaxant, some antibiotics, one crape bandage
  • Keep some other important medicines – Diamox, Dolo 650, Avomine, Combiflam, Digene, ORS
  • Some dry fruits like Fig, Cashew nut, and Almonds.
  • Original and photocopy of government photo identity card.
