About Marjim beach
Morjim is close to Ashwem Beach and it is known as one of the most tranquil beaches in North Goa. This beach is famous for a reason! It is known for its Olive Ridley Turtles. Don’t get too excited because getting up close and personal with the turtles is not allowed.
Lately, there was news that the Olive Ridley Turtles are in danger and there were too many deaths of these creatures in few areas. Tourists can surely click pictures with the turtles but touching them or disturbing is not allowed.
Things to do in Morjim Beach
You can find a lot of Russians here! If you are in Morjim, try Russian cuisine and explore the beach. You can even witness the Olive Ridley turtles, but be a kind human and do not disturb them.
Since water animals are in abundance, any kind of water sports is not allowed here. This beach is also known as ‘Little Russia’.
